Decor: The remodel makes Fedora quite a bit more inviting than the previous restaurant at this location, Wagner's Hoffbrau (which I'll miss). One thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was the aqua colored faux marble laminate used throughout. I thought it was just me until my brother-in-law mentioned something as well. Service: Our server was obviously new to the trade. Drinks were left empty, simple food requests (more flat bread) took long enough for our appetizer to go cold, dishes came out incomplete. Food: The menu is typical American pub fare with some American and Mediterranean styled salads thrown into the mix. The server had sold us on an artichoke dip which was quite nice. Nice big chunks of artichoke, just how we make it at home. It could have used more flat bread wedges. When I asked for more, the waiter complied. Unfortunately it took 15 minutes to arrive We were charged $1 for the extra bread to go with our cold dip. I ordered the Reuben, my friends, the fish & chips and the Wisconsin Burger. We all ordered a salad and the signature "Fedora Fries". Interestingly, they did not have Italian dressing but they did have oil and vinegar. I asked if they had some salt black pepper, oregano, thyme, parsley and basil to go with the oil and vinegar. This comment was lost on the waiter. The Reuben came out on a hoagie style rye role which they make there. It was hollowed out to accommodate the kraut, thinly sliced meat and cheese. The meat wasn't all that great and while the bun wasn't bad, I think a classic grilled rye would have been better. The fish and chips looked decent. The portions weren't anything to write home about. J said they it was pretty good. My brother's burger came without the advertised "hickory smoked bacon". It took the server a good 7 minutes to remedy this. Normally I wouldn't think anything of it but the bacon he brought out was pretty sad looking. He told me the sandwich was cooked well though the "aged Wisconsin cheddar" was your usual mild cheddar. If it's not good and sharp, why bother advertising it as something special? "What about the Fedora Fries", you ask? Shoestring fries, dusted with Romano cheese and deep fried into oblivion. I'm not sure what the owners are thinking but they were terrible. Drinks: Despite several web sites indicating beer and wine were available, this was not the case. The business does not yet have their beer and wine license. Probably not the best situation to be in opening week but I'll let it slide. Cost: Too much for the mediocre food we received. Overall, I think Fedora is trying very hard to sell its customers on overpriced pub food. The occasional gourmet ingredient isn't going to cut it if the dish is fundamentally flawed to begin with. I'll give them 3 months to smooth out the wrinkles and give them one more try.

Great beer selection. The Ruben was good. The fedora fries were excellent! We will be back.

I recently went to The Fedora for lunch with a few coworkers. I have to say that I had the best Monte Cristo I've ever had. My coworker ordered the seafood salad, it was so packed an awesome salad and had a ton of shrimp as well as a huge pile of crab meat in the middle. We will both be back to try more of their menu.

I guess the owners/managers are paying attention to the poor reviews because we went for dinner with some reluctance last week and had one of the best meals ever since moving to the area 7 years ago. We went at a very slow time and had excellent customer service. The waitress took time to help us with our dinner choices. She was knowledgeable and made our meal enjoyable. We had the Calamari steak and it was tender and delicious. The salad and tasty rice completed our gourmet meal.

The food was tastey! The fried potatoes were unparalleled! There were a few things that were puzzling. Why did it take so long to get our meal? There was no one else in the restraunt. It took 15-20 minutes. They did not have their full menu available. $10 for a chicken sandwich is standard sit down restraunt price, but the chicken was really thin. We were surrounded by tables with place settings, but we were seated at a table that had been used- we know because there were still crumbs on the table. The food tasted great, the menu is full, the prices are reasonable and the wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Just a few details could push this rating to a four star.

Great atmosphere, friendly waitress. Let's get some facts out that are influencing this review: 1. We had a group of 20. 2. We came at 6 pm on a Saturday night (granted nobody else was there). The good: 1. Selection of food 2. Friendly waitress (Becky) The bad: 1. Realllllly slow food service 2. Our food was cold 3. One of my mussels was sandy/unclean 4. Small portion sizes 5. Inflated prices The ugly: 1. My girlfriend ordered chicken with noodles and they were cold..nicely mentioned to the waitress and she said no problem, let's fix it! She brought it back 5 min later, the same plate with the partially eaten chicken. Sooo did they microwave it? Never have I received my same food back that I'm paying $19 for. Good, no, great chefs will remake it. 2. My beer stayed empty for a while. And that's just bad news. Next time I plan to spend $15+ per plate, I'll eat closer to the lake. Oh wait, I don't live in CDA but next time I'm back - I will never eat here again.

What a disappointment! Had our heart set on the best sliders in Coeur d'Alene at Fedora's and found them not available after 4 pm? Crazy bad decision Fedora owners. Make Kobe Sliders available always! Otherwise, great local hangout!

Walked in, went to the bar and sat down, waited 5 minutes and still no bartender, when leaving I saw the bartender at a table who, per my boyfriend, was in that same location when we arrived. EVERY PERSON AT THE BAR HAD AN EMPTY BEER AND NOT ONE LOOKED HAPPY ABOUT IT! Only reason for 2 stars is because I wasn't feeling very patient yesterday. Might try to go again but lack of decent service and non existent acknowledgement of customers as they walk in will keep me away.

I went to Fedora's for dinner before the Coeur d'Alene symphony with 3 women. The service was very slow. We got there early enough but were a little concerned about getting to the symphony on time (we did). The waitress brought our wine quickly and the Pinot Noir was excellent. The waitress took our order but later came back and said it will be out but the Huckleberry Chicken takes a long time to cook and is holding everything up. The menu was quite small, not many choices. I had the Huckleberry Chicken that came with rice and steamed carrots which was good. The waitress brought tasty bread to the table. One waitress wanted to fill our water glasses and somehow mine spilled. It could have been worse. They cleaned it up and considering all, I didn't get that wet...oh my, I got my laundry done, ha ha. I'm not thrilled with Fedora's but I know others like it and the bar has good music sometimes and a nice area to be.

Great food but super slow service. Went in on a Sunday with a group of 9 and had made reservations. Ordered a couple of kids meals and five adult meals. Food took almost 35 minutes and the restaurant was not busy at all.

I'm confused at the reviews on this place, but since I definitely going back I'm hoping I didn't just catch them on a spectacular day. We were the only table there at 5:30 on a Saturday, which was the only thing I found off putting about the entire visit. Servers were fast and nice. The salad was good, the breadsticks were great, and my son's wildest dream of a steak on the kids menu was fulfilled. My daughter and I split the Monte Cristo with mac n cheese, which was amazing, my husband had the habanero crab mac n cheese which he said was great. The fries were nice, crisp and garlicky, just they way we like them. We finished it off with a fantastic slice of key lime pie. As a pair of beer drinkers ( and I realize this place had a definate wine focus, complete with a walk in cellar), my one huge suggestion is a beer menu so I can see what all the craft beers on tap are (I think our server mentioned that they had 35 craft beers on draft) -I was unable to dial in a perfect for me selection off his descriptions and I tried twice.

This place has nice atmosphere, decent service, good food and fantastic dessert. I'm not a fan of onion rings, but these were mighty tasty. The batter that they used was good and they were crispy, not soggy from too much grease. For my main meal I tried the Wisconsin burger, but I substituted the hamburger for a chicken breast. It was pretty tasty, but if you're massively hungry, this might not satisfy you. The chicken breast was only a quarter of a chicken breast, so the portions are a little on the small side. With the size of the bun, they could have easily put a half breast on it. Overall, I would come here just for onion rings and the phenomenal, homemade key lime pie, one of the best I've ever had.

Not great or even good. The burgers were overcooked. For the price you can get a much better meal elsewhere.

Excellent food, lots of TVs, & good beer. Plus they gave our kids all kinds of games to keep them busy while we watch football.

This is overpriced pub food trying to be hip and modern. There are a few fancy ingredients thrown into the menu but for the most part its mediocre burgers and soggy salads. You can get artichoke dip anywhere, so I thought it was odd that they used this as the amouz-bouche, which is just supposed to be a light tantalizing bite to welcome you to the meal. We asked "how is the rainbow trout cooked?" Server didn't know, went back to ask, came back 10 minutes later and simply said "its charbroiled". We asked "what beers do you have on tap?" Server read her list but couldn't pronounce half of them, let alone provide any recommendations. We asked "what is this strange pink garnish stuff on the hummus plate?" Server said "I think its beets but I can't ask the chefs any more questions. They are too busy and said they won't talk to me." My son asked for Sprite, she brought a Coke but said she would bring a Sprite when he was done with the Coke. Fine. She came back after about 20 minutes and asked "how is everything?" We said "meh. The fish was cold and bland; the salad was drenched in dressing. The burger was decent and the fries were good and we were starving so we ate everything but can you bring the Sprite, please?" She shrugged and said "No one has ever complained about the food before. Everyone else really likes it." She offered us a free dessert, we declined, but she brought the tray anyway. They have a red velvet cupcake that looked good but for some reason they put pop-rocks in it so we just asked for the check and left. My favorite part was the old silent movie that was playing on one of the teevee screens. At the end of the day though I dont regret our time at The Fedora: it is good to go to places like this from time to time so you can appreciate good food and service when you get it.

I went to this place when it first opened. Good food, bad service. I tried it again recently and got the same result. With all of the other options in town you can do better.

Just okay. The food is average and it always seems dark in there. You can probably find better places within a two mile radius.

Not fantastic, not bad, just kind of...there. If you happen to be in the area, are a local, or are like us and waiting for our Les Schwab appointment and need to kill some time, sure why not? They have a decent beer selection, but can't address the quality of the food as we didn't have any.

We stopped in for a beer at lunch time on a weekday. When we saw our server, she was quite friendly, however, even though we were sitting at the bar, she was out of site more often than not.

For a cool autumn morning, breakfast was the active plan, and after a bit of deliberation, I ordered their Eggs Benedict. It took exactly enough time for my exceedingly affable server Suzi to refill my coffee cup once before my food arrived, and with its colorful garnish of cantaloupe, casaba melon, and pineapple slices, it was a cheerful sight to behold. Normally, runny eggs freak me out, but as my fork made its way through the layers of homemade hollandaise, thin-sliced ham and toasted English muffin, an explosion of bright yellow yolk came flowing out. Once said fork brought the concoction to my salivating tongue, any runny egg paranoia drifted away in a cloud of rich, dreamy flavor. The accompanying hash browns were unique, a mound of small, thin-sliced potato chunks cooked to a light, hearty crunchiness and not swimming in grease. Despite the hype, I'd wondered whether the Fedora could thrive in such a relatively out-of-the-way location where another restaurant had already died a slow, painful death after only a little over a year. After experiencing their impressively high level of service and sampling their singular cuisine, the reason for the buzz is clear. The Fedora is poised to become one of the area's signature dining destinations. Read the full review here: getoutnorthidaho.blogspo…

The service wasn't that great. There is no happy hour and the prices are pretty expensive..we ordered the calamari and it was 10$ and only got 10 pieces..I will never come here again and do not recommend it.

A very nice atmosphere, it has an intimate feeling without being too small or tightly packed, furniture-wise. The waitress/bar tender was agreeably attentive without hovering. My husband ordered the Blue Goose Burger, which he liked. I had the Italian Chicken Burger. They have a small selection, but what they have isn't the SAME THING you see everywhere else! My husband ordered one of their beers on tap, and they have a wide variety of on-tap beers, which is in fairly constant rotation/change. There is a nice space in back that can be set apart for private parties, and I've been there before with a deaf friend, and they're all very accommodating toward the deaf community, raising the lights a bit to improve visual ability, among other accommodations.

Positives first- Great service and decor. Good Thousand Island salad and decent clam chowder Negatives- Fish and chips, fish had decent batter but was deep fried too long and it dried out inside. Cold fries. Chicken salad had no discernible amount of dressing and the chicken was disgusting. They said it was grilled the night before and then was put in the fridge for the next night. There were no grill marks and the chicken was very hard and dry. I would say they boil it once a week and put it in the fridge. Spinach and Artichoke dip might have been ok, but it was a 20 minute wait until it was ready. Monte Christo is like a sandwich made with french toast and warmed up. Some liked it and some didn't.

I was in town on business and had lunch here with the guy I was visiting at his suggestion, him being the local. I grabbed an outside table because it was just an awesomely gorgeous day. My cohort indicated he usually dines in the lounge. The beer list is extensive but they were out of everything I wanted to try so the server suggested a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I was good with that because I like the Sierra Nevada lineup but I was hoping for something a little more local. I went with the Wisconsin Burger, a burger amalgam "with crispy hickory smoked bacon, aged Wisconsin cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo." Pretty good, actually. The fries come with a tiny little paper cup of ketchup. Really, they should have a squeeze bottle of ketchup at the table. I should have asked for tarter sauce which is de rigueur for fries west of the Cascades where I come from. The service was good and the place was busy for lunch. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to see if we can't get it up to four stars.

The remodel of the building and the new ambiance is fantastic. Very warm interior, warm colors, many pictures of the early days of the area adorn the walls. Several TVs have old movies playing while others have current sporting events. We were seated immediately for our lunch and found the service from beginning to end to be first class. We ordered the grilled tuna steak sandwich with pine nuts and sun-dried tomatoes, and the Asian Chicken Salad. Both tasted fine, although the pine nuts and sun-dried tomatoes were skimpy if there at all and no seasonings made for a bland tuna sandwich. The Asian salad was good but not very Asian. It lacked spices, zip and crunch. It essentially was a green salad with a nice assortment of vegetables with chicken mixed in, chicken that lacked flavor and taste. The Pub is still waiting for their license to serve beer and wine so we just had waters. We will definitely go back but will not likely order these two dishes again. They were good enough though to have confidence in other menu choices to be ok to fabulous. And the ambiance is one of the nicest in Coeur d'Alene for a pub and grille setting.
